This is WAY COOL! The Eye-Link Communicator is the ultimate gear for astronaut communication. You can silently communicate to other members of your crew up to 200 feet -- even through walls! Using a QWERTY keypad mounted on your arm or wrist, you can type and beam a message to a crewmates headset. The message is viewed on a scrolling LCD screen. You can send up to 23 characters (including spaces) per message. Kids have the option of sending messages across one public channel, or nine private channels, so they can communicate with an entire crew. They can also set their system to automatically tag each of their messages with their chosen two-character identification code to identify the sender, when playing in multi-player mode. NASA is developing similar "helmet mounted" display systems to display data messages to astronauts in their spacesuits.
